Poison ivy

I recently cleared some woods and planted shade loving perennials... looks good. However, poison ivy is creeping over into this area ... how do I get rid of the poison ivy?

I would recommend painting the leaves with an herbicide such as Roundup. Or spray on a calm day (no wind) and shield nearby plants with a piece of cardboard you're holding in your hand. Poison ivy is invasive and you will likely have to treat more than once.
