Plants to hide gas vents

We just had a gas furnace installed and now have two gas pipes vent located on the street side (front) of our house about 2 feet above grade. I'd love some specific suggestions for plantings that would hide them. We live in zone 5 and the area is partially shaded. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for writing. Ornamental grasses may be your best bet; they won't be damaged by the air coming out of the vents during the winter. Depending on how partially shaded it is, you might be able to get away with switchgrass (Panicum), feather reedgrass (Calamagrostis), or moor grass (Molinia).
