Disguising lawn bare spots

I live in Colorado Springs, CO. I have some bare spots in my lawn where I can't get grass to grow. Is there a decorative type of hard landscape that I can use to disguise the spots?

That really depends on the landscape, which I haven't seen, obviously. Some people simply lay down a layer of mulch, such as under shady trees that block too much light for grass to grow. Or put in a perennial planting, if that's a suitable design choice for your site.
