Container box gardening with drought tolerant plants and flowers

I am building long raised bed containers around my home for gardening, Since I live in the hills with rattlesnakes around. I am looking for some ideas of drought tolerant plants and flowers since there will be two large areas. We like to dine and lounge outside one of the raised beds will be in front of the area we dine that you see when you drive into the property. Any ideas?? Love some advice. Very low maintenance.
