Pesty lily beetles!

I have this type of beetle that is destoying my lilies,leaves,and flowers.It is orangeish in color and shape being elongated ovalish.It leaves like a muddy deposit on the plant,I cannot seem to get rid of them even if I hand pick them!It has destoyed all my lilies in the front and back yard flower beds every year.I put a japanese beetle trap up to hopefully lure them to it, but no go!!!!!!!Can you please help me identify them,and possibly have any suggestion on how to get rid of these!Help!!!!
