Hosta damage

There is a problem with all the hostas around our home being attacked by some sort of insects. They are eating the leaves creating holes and the leaves are turning brown. These insects are not damaging any flowers or other shrubs. Please let me know what I should do.

I suspect that you have slugs feeding on your hostas. Hostas are a favorite of these pests. Traps with stale beer can be effective in killing slugs. Slug bait with iron sulfide is also effective.
