Why is Boston Fern drying?

I have a boston fern .and its drying out .i love ferns and need help to keep it alive.i started misting it with a misting bottle.it is dry in my house i have no idea if that why. any help you can give me i would love it. the boston fern is one of my favorit hanging plants.in need of help Thank you so very much Barbara Bartkus
