white flufy spots on my indoor ivy

I have several ivy's indoors. One ivy has started to get white fluffy stuff on the bottom side of leaves.

The problem you describe is an insect called mealy bug. The white waxy coating on the insect protects it from most insecticide sprays. However, if you swab them with rubbing alcohol you can kill them. It often takes several applications a week or so apart.
