How do I take care of a potted orchid ?
Submitted by schraderdebra

Hi, Keep it in a location that gets bright, indirect light and give it a little water each week. Some folks recommend placing an ice cube on the soil surface each week. That's about the right amount of water as it melts. Otherwise, most orchids are quite easy. Just remember they do not need to grow in soil and those you buy in bloom in the store are generally fine left as they are and don't need repotting. Getting them to rebloom can be difficult so many people enjoy them for their long bloom period and then toss them out.
