orchids losing flowers

My orchid has lost all its flowers. Do I cut the stem back or leave it as is? Thank you, Sue

Hi, Sue. After your orchid is done blooming, cut the stem back. If it is a Phalaenopsis orchid, cut it just below the spot where the lowest bloom was and you may get a second bloom. For all other orchids, you can remove the entire stem.
