White mushrooms growing in garden

I have white mushrooms growing in my garden! What causes them and how do I get rid of them???

Thanks for writing. The mushrooms indicate there's a fungus colony in your soil and that's actually a good thing as the fungus is decaying organic matter and helping it release nutrients for your plants. If the mushrooms offend you, you can simply knock them away with a rake or bloom; they should start to shrivel up as soon as the stalks break.
