Tomato with Butterfly bush

Is it ok to plant tomato plants in my butterfly garden, or can this somehow be detrimental. I live in Massachusetts (south of Boston). Zone 6 I think. In addition to the butterfly bush there are black eyed Susan, Echinecea, Russian sage, pincushion flowers, Daylillies, Daliahs, columbine, etc.

Hi, As long as the tomato gets plenty of sun and air circulation it should be fine. Remember, tomatoes need good ventilation so don't jam it in with your perennials. Make sure it has at least three feet of open space around the plant on all sides. If you can provide that, it should be fine.
