Is it too late to start a garden in NYC?

Hi, It is the End of June and I just moved into an apartment that I have backyard access in NYC and I have full sun with a little shade (yeah me!). Is it too late in the year to really start a flower or vegetable garden?

There are many vegetables that can be planted through mid-July, or even later for a fall garden. Beans, carrots, beets, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, radishes, spinach and chard are just a few of the veggies that you could grow now.

If you plan to grow flowers, start with transplants to get quicker results.
