Cat litter in the garden?

My husband and I just bought a new house and we have realized in the garden that the previous owners were dumping cat litter into the garden beds. We have pulled out as much litter as we can, but is there a way to help turn this soil around?

Hi, Well I believe most cat litter is clay in nature so I'd remove as much as you can and then top it with a lot of compost, rotted manure or fresh soil as you can and till everything in together to improve the area.
