Fig tree looks bad!

We have a fig tree [2yrs old] it had good figs this year. Now the leaves are turning brown and falling off but it is still producing figs. I live in North Florida zone 8-9.

Thanks for writing. I'm sorry, but without being able to see your fig in person, I can't say why the the leaves are turning brown and falling off. That is a symptom of many different problems, including:

* Damage from herbicide drift

* Damage to the roots due to pests, too much water, etc.

* Disease such as leaf blight

For more help, you might bring a sample of the affected leaves to the staff at your county extension office. If they can do an examination, they should be able to help more.
