Perrenials in ohio

I live in ohio and have put on a 10 by 30 ft. deck . I want to put perrenials only around the front of the deck. I have bought early sunrise for the front of the boarder and burgundy daylillies with green centers for the middle. What perrenial would go best in the back row for color and wow. I like purple monkhood. Any suggestions ?

Hi, Well you can easily plug in your planting needs into the Advanced Search in the Plant Encyclopedia on this website and it should give you a list of planting options. If it were me, however, I'd consider coneflower, Karl Forester grass and/or catmint.
