When & how to plant (transplant) Amaryllis in the ground in warm climates (Florida)?

You can plant amaryllis outdoors as long as there is no danger of frost. If it is growing in a container, you can slip it out of the pot, keeping the rootball intact, and plant it at the same depth in the ground.
