How do I care for my Mandevilla

I need help with my mandevilla. It had beautiful flowers and a lot of buds when I purchased it but they are gone now and I am not sure if I should pinch back. Many of the buds look like they are dying before they even open. The plant itself looks healthy. I have not had it in full sun but have heard that maybe it should be. How do I care for this plant also it is in a pot. Does it need to be planted in the ground?

Mandevilla is a tropical that needs heat and sun to thrive. It's barely June, and my guess is that it has been too cool and perhaps damp for it. Should thrive better when weather warms up, provided you give it a fair bit of sun and  feed it occassionally.
