Flowers that complement a white fence

Hello, We have a white fence, about 3-4ft and would like to know the best choices of flowering perennials or any arrangements that would look good in front and back of the fence. I like to add daylilies, lavender or anything that compliments the fence We get afternoon sun, and live in Williamsburg,VA Thanks!

Hi, Well in your situation, the sky is the limit for great plants. Species I'd consider include daylilies, lavender, peony, rose, phlox, salvia, baptisia, coneflower, rudbeckia, clematis, nepeta, ornamental grass, or scabiosa. You can see all of these plants and do a search on more options at our Plant Encyclopedia on this site. Just do an Advanced Search and you should get a nice planting list.
