Do I have a fungus in my flower bed?

I have a 'ground cover' in my flower bed that is spreading quickly. It is a shiny green round leaf. Is it some type of fungus and how do I get rid of it.

Without seeing the material that is covering the ground in your flower bed we won't be able to confirm what it is. From your brief description, it doesn't sound like a fungus, however.
