freezing hyacinth bulbs

Do you suggest freezing hyacinth bulbs before planting them?

Hyacinth bulbs should definitely NOT be frozen. They can turn to mush if frozen before planting. In areas with insufficient winter cold, they may need precooling in a refrigerator, but not freezing.
