You can grow freesias indoors, but they can be very fussy. Fill a container with a good quality potting soil and place the bulbs about 2 inches deep and one inch apart for the best show. The bulbs go in narrow side up. Water very thoroughly until water runs out of the drain holes of the pot. Place in a very sunny location. These plants need a lot of light and will topple over if they don't get enough sun. In a few weeks, leaves should appear followed by flowers. Keep plants just slightly moist at all times. After they are done blooming it's best to toss the plants because they won't bloom again and they won't overwinter outdoors in your region.
