Is it OK to use leaf mulch with grass clippings?

I am using crushed leaves from my yard for mulch. If there are grass clippings in it is it still okay to use or is this like putting grass seed in my flower gardens?

Chopped leaves that contain some grass clippings should be fine to use as mulch as long as there aren't a lot of weeds that have gone to seed in the lawn. This time of year a cool-season lawn will not have seedheads from the grass, so you need not worry about spreading grass seed into your planting beds.
