Why do my fuchsias die after a couple of weeks? They are my favorite flower, but they frustrate me.

Fuchsia is finicky. It likes cool days and cooler nights and is best suited to the Pacific Northwest and higher elevations that seldom receive sustained hot weather. Fuchsia grows best in shade. Water it enough to keep the soil moist but not wet. Hot sun and dry soil will quickly kill a fuchsia.
