Why are my geraniums spindly?

My geraniums are very spinley - why?

Thanks for writing. Are your geraniums in full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day)? That's the most common reason for the plants to look spindly. When they don't get enough sun, they grow stretched, trying to reach for it.

Pinching them back should help them grow more bushy --- simply cut off the top inch or so of growth. Doing so will encourage lots of lower branches to start growing and fill in.
