Rabbit Safe Annuals

Which annuals will not be eaten by rabbits?
Submitted by BHGPhotoContest

There's not much to choose from in annuals that rabbits won't eat. In fact, there's not much to choose from in ANY plants rabbits won't eat if they are hungry enough. Some general guidelines are that rabbits shy away from plants with highly scented foliage and that are fuzzy. That doesn't mean they won't eat them.

You might try marigolds, zinnias, and salvia. The rabbits in my garden seem to prefer other plants over these, but as they say on the Internet, your mileage may vary. I've planted garlic and onions in between plants to deter rabbits, but it's not foolproof.

Rabbits really don't like alliums and daffodils, but those are bulbs. For some perennials they don't like look at this slideshow we've prepared.

Sorry I can't be more help.
