How do I get quick color?

I want to add color to my garden for July 3 wedding rehearsal dinner outside. I live in Manhattan, MT which makes for a slower start. I have lots of Perennials but want to add lots of color with little money.

Hi,

Thanks for writing. The best way to add color on the cheap is to plant annuals from seed. You didn't say what the growing conditions are (sun/shade) or what colors you're looking for, but in general, some annuals you can plant for lots of color by July include:

Bachelor's button
Marigolds
Cleome
Cosmos
Larkspur
Nasturtium
