Can you recommend annuals for midday sun?

If geraniums have been successful, you can probably plant other sun-loving annual flowers such as petunia, verbena, zinnia, marigold, salvia, and cosmos. Normally, sun-loving plants need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. I’m guessing that your flower bed is shaded by the house in the morning and perhaps by trees later in the afternoon. Several hours of direct midday sun coupled with half a day or more of bright partial shade is enough to keep your plants happy.
