As a beginner, what would be some easy flowers to grow from seed?

I plan to grow flowers from seed for the first time this year. What would be some easy ones to start with?

Large-seeded annuals such as marigold, sunflower, and zinnia are good choices for beginning gardeners, including children. Just be certain to wait until the soil warms and danger of frost has passed. These three prefer full sun and warm conditions.
