Lavender plants

I live in Southern California and need to plant the area along my walk, which is about two-feet wide, with an easy-care, low-water plant. I thought lavender would look great. We have wild rabbits that run all over, will they be attracted to the lavender? Any other suggestions?

Lavender is rabbit-resistant, so plant away. Your idea is such an attractive one that I don't really want to suggest anything else, but here goes! Any of these plants would be a good, rabbit-resistant choice to line your walkway: Salvia x Black Cherry (Black Cherry Sage); Salvia farinacea 'Texas Violet'; Agastache cana 'Rosita' (Rosita's Hummingbird Mint); Hesperaloe parviflora (Texas Red Yucca); and Santolina chamaecyparissus (Gray Santolina)
