dogs in beds
How do I keep my dogs from laying in my flower beds when I am not looking? I put moth balls in one and it seems to do the trick.

Hi,
Thanks for writing. I strongly advise against putting mothballs out in the garden; they're poisonous and could harm your dogs, beneficial garden creatures, or the environment.
There are several sprays on the market that can try using --- look for pet repellent sprays at your local garden center, hardware store, or home-improvement center. One common brand is Dog Stopper --- http://www.messinawildlife.com/
But many homeowners have found the very best method of control is training their pets. (I'm not a dog owner, so I'm afraid I can't give you any tips on that. But you might find good tips online for dealing with them when you're away.)
