Do marigolds continue to do well into late fall?

Concerning marigolds in Zone 9 or 10a: Can I expect these plants to do well until November? Mainly used as a natural pest deterant. If not, what other plants should can be used?

Hi, Marigolds should do well right through fall until cold weather shuts them down. In fact, marigolds often look their best in the fall because they push out a ton of flowers as the season draws to a close. Keep in mind, though, that most marigolds are not really a pest deterrent.
