Deer-resistent plants

What can I plant that is deer-resistant? I have mostly shade but a few small areas that will get sun a good part of the day. I know lavender and marigolds are good choices but I'd like more of a variety if possible. Thank you!

No plant is ever completely deer-resistant because a hungry animal will try everything. But, as a general rule, plants that have gray, hairy, or very fragrant foliage are good to choose from. Lamb's ears are an excellent example. Deer will also not dine on daffodils. You can get a full list for your region by going to our Advanced Search on our Plant Encyclopedia. Put in  your criteria and you should get a list of plants to grow.
