Do I use white vinegar or cider vinegar in recipes?

When a recipe calls for vinegar do I use white or cider vinegar

Typically you'll want to use white vinegar unless cider vinegar is called for. Cider vinegar can lend the dish a slightly different flavor than intended.

Cider vinegar can easily replace any other vinegar in recipes but it is milder in flavor than white vinegar. I always choose organic apple cider vinegar as my vinegar choice because it is a higher quality and healthier vinegar.
