Can I slow cook a turkey at 250 degrees safely?
I want to smoke my turkey on a gas grill using indirect heat but the temperature only gets to about 250 degrees. Can I do this, or is it not safe? Thanks!
To meet food safety guidelines, it's important that the temperature of your grill reaches 325 F. If your grill isn't getting up to temperature, I recommend cleaning it or checking to make sure you have the appropriate amount of propane in the tank.
