Can I brine a pre-basted turkey?

can I brine a frozen turkey that has salt solution already injected into it? I did one year and it was too salty. I see recipes for brining a frozen turkey and wonder what I am missing. St Louis MO

While it's not necessary to brine a pre-basted turkey, some people prefer the extra salty flavor a brine provides. If a brined turkey is too salty for your taste, we recommend skipping the brining process.
