How long does sherry vinegar keep?

What is the shelf life of sherry vinegar? How will I know when it has gone bad?
Submitted by jhiersteiner

Any commercially bottled vinegar should be stored in cool, dark areas and kept tightly closed when not being used. Over time the vinegar may become cloudy and you may see sediment. It is still safe to use if it has been store properly. For best quality, use vinegar within 1 to 2 years of purchase.
