How do I cook a whole chicken in a slow cooker?

Any recipes or suggestions for making a whole chicken in a slow cooker?

We don’t typically cook whole chickens in a slow cooker simply because they don’t fit in all slow cookers (the legs may stick up in some, causing the lid to not fit down properly). But if you have a cooker that is large enough, then it will work fine. Just find a recipe that interests you where the chicken may be cut up and try it with the whole chicken, keeping in mind that the cooker should never be more than about 2/3 full.
