Can I prepare the recipe in the slow cooker the night before?

You can prepare the ingredients for the slow cooker and chill everything until the next morning. Exceptions to this would be vegetables that might turn brown, such as potatoes. We also don't recommend browning meat and then chilling it, so this will have to be done just before cooking.
