What is the proper hanging length for tablecloths from the ending edge of a table?

Good question, Evelyn! Through some research a tablecloth drop length of about 8 inches is typically recommended, however a longer drop length is sometimes suggested for formal dining occasions (sometimes even as long as 12 inches).
