My gravy tastes way too salty. Is there a way to tone it down?
To reduce that salty taste, chop up a small potato and stir it into the gravy. Continue to stir and simmer the gravy for about 15 minutes, then remove the potato pieces. The potato will absorb the excess salt. Taste before serving—add a wee bit of water if the gravy has become too thick during the extra cooking time or if you think the gravy is still a bit too salty.
