Marcello D'Aureli owns Platinum Construction LLC, which opened in 1998. He has been in the construction industry for nearly 20 years, mostly on the remodeling end of the industry. I live in West New York, N.J., a small town on the Hudson River, right across the river from New York City. At an early age I realized I would be destined to work with my hands?there isn't anything in my house that wasn't taken apart. After high school, I went on to an Automotive Trade school in Virginia for 2 years, graduated in 1983. I received my ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Master License in 1985. I'm a member of the NARI since 2007 and recently passed the CKBR (Certified Kitchen And Bath Remodeler) exam this past summer. My company has won some prestigious awards, including the Gold "Best of the Best" design for Kitchen Remodeler under $75K from Professional Remodeler magazine. We are also a Certified Marvin Window and Door installation expert and a member of the Better Business Bureau. We specialize in restoration and renovation of brownstones, which gives us plenty of room to flex our talents. The turn-of-the-century carpentry skills needed to replicate the rooms' decor must be met with an exacting approach. We use the latest equipment, which improves our final product: fine woodworking with old-world style workmanship.
