Can I get some information about water softeners?

Just like any water treatment product out there (especially with the information on the internet today) tons of options and reviews are available.  I have found the most success and best performance from the Culligan & GE products.  Culligan is obviously the best on the market because water treatment is all that they have done for years and are very strong at it.  GE also has some really strong products on the market for water treatment.  With some basic plumbing skills, you will more than likely have to cut pipes and sweat some joints, you should be able to install a entry level water softener from one of the big box stores.
