How can I make a small kitchen work better?
I retired to an 800-square-foot home and am looking for ways to make the kitchen more user friendly. Space is a big problem. Any ideas would be welcomed.
There are a number of clever design tricks you could try depending on your needs and your tastes. Some of the ideas in our slide show, “Custom Touches for Small Kitchens,” include capping off a run of cabinets with open shelving, installing a pull out cutting board, hiding countertop appliances in an appliance garage, and adding wire storage baskets and drawer organizers. See our slide show for more ideas.
