What is the best flooring for a high traffic, lots of dirt(New Mexico, farm ranch)in a kitchen/dining/family room( 16' by 30') Decor w/be western w/ mission style case goods in family room, oak dining table. Help!!!

It seems to me that a quarry tile would be in keeping with the décor and the environment.  It would be durable, though kind of hard to keep clean in my opinion. I may suggest you take a look at some of the new hardwood flooring.  There are a lot of wider plank styles that may give you the architectural look you want but already come pre-finished with up to 7 coats of urethane.  These can be very durable as well.
